  • Introduction to relational databases. Normalization
  • Basics of DDL. Creating tables and indexes. SQL Data types
  • Referential integrity. Restricting column values to values present in referenced table only. Foreign keys and REFERENCES clause
  • Queries. SELECT statement for single table, filtering rows with WHERE, built-in functions
  • Practice
  • Table joins. Selecting data from multiple linked tables
  • Subqueries. Using other query results in filtering rows and calculating additional columns
  • Sorting and grouping data
  • Aggregate functions (COUNT, MIN, MAX, SUM)

  • Window functions. Complex aggregations

  • How are SQL queries handled? Execution plan
  • Insert, update, and delete data (INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE). Using these operations with subqueries

He holds a Bachelor of Science, from the Computer Science Military Technical Academy and a Master of Science from Bucharest’s University of Economic Studies specializing in Information Security. Marian also has various key certifications in the IT&C area such as ITIL Foundation, Oracle Certified Professional in Java SE7 and SE8 as well as an ICP-ATF from ICAgile.
